Oh man... why on earth has it taken me so long to get to these?  Earlier on in the summer, Mister and I took Tadpole to the park to play... he had so much fun with his Daddy.

"Sweet Dreams" is the i♥faces contest theme this week.  I have a few of Tadpole to choose from... but instead I decided on this one of Baboo.  There's just something about the little grin on his sleepy face that tells you that he's thinking happy thoughts.

Flashback Friday - First visit with Santa (2008)

He was almost a year old when Tadpole got to meet Santa for the 1^st time.  We weren’t sure if he’d be afraid of him or not, and thankfully, he wasn’t.  He was in awe though.  He couldn’t stop staring at him.  I LOVE this picture.  His first photo with Santa didn’t turn out to be the usual “sit on his knee and smile for the camera” picture and I couldn’t be happier with the story it tells.  

(It'll be interesting to see what happens this year.  I expect one of two things... a complete freak-out, or a perfect "cheese"y smile.)

Skating

Last weekend, Mister and I met up with Unk and Winnie and we all took Tadpole out skating for the 2nd time.  At less than 23 mo's old, I just can't get over how much he LOVES to go to the arena and go skating!  He's improved so much in just two outings... his little ankles are already strong enough to support all of his running around the arena lobby in his adorable baby skates.

At this rate, it won't be long before he's zipping around the ice with little or no help from his Daddy and his Unk - which I know they're excited for... their poor back's aren't as young as they used to be :)

Xmas Tree Hunt, 2009

On the 3rd Sunday in November, we trouped up to Grumpy & Granny's for breakfast, and our annual Xmas tree hunt.  The weather had been horrible since returning from Mexico, but it held out the entire time we were up island.  Tadpole was a bit unsure at first, wandering around through all of the trees, but he liked it soon enough, despite falling down more times than I care to count... but I guess that's bound to happen when your gum boots come up past your little knees.
